| difficult tasks I tackled on the Z. Getting the hub out requires significant pounding using a hammer/mallet/deadblow hammer. There is really no way to fixture it in a press to get the hub out so you just have to pound away. Getting the old bearing race out, you WILL need a very heavy duty press. The harbor freight presses will not work. A definite shop press will be needed to get it out. While I had the knuckle off, I replaced the upright link and installed a new kingpin along with the bearings for it and changed the lower ball joint and installed a new lower control arm bushing. Combination of all those was a pain in the ass.
Buy Zama Posters Here I have nightmares about that happening...I'd be the poor bastard you'd hear about on the news that gets killed by a softball-size chunk while spreading out my body over the hood and screaming "Nooo!" Probes suck, that's just all there is to it. - 300ZXpert (someday) on April 04, 2005 at 11:35 PM P.S. You REALLY are on here at ALL hours!
